Christopher Goodnight sent #ASKROB this musical throwback Q to A: Who put the bop in the bop shue bop she bop?

After intense research, I not only have the answer to the first part of this answer to the Platter’s question, but the whole damn refrain.

So the bop in this instance was Mildred Cumstein, the woman hired by the record company to teach the Platters basic math, and sexy time.

After that mystical night, the Platters wrote a song for Nancy entitled, “Retract that snaggle tooth woman.” But the record company simply didn’t find the piece catchy since the only thing that rhymes with snaggle is fraggle. It would be another 30 years before anthropologists would unearth Fraggle Rock.

It’s understandable as Maude also had an iron deficiency and would often suckle cans until vitamin replacements became vogue.
